Default Looking at a scoob for a friend, any more advice on this

He`s looking at this, its not mint but my friend is after much fun for little money so the odd cosmetic blemish isnt a problem

this is the car

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-SUBAR...item20c2e82bd4

but i`m a bit concerned about this sale by the owner

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140685775848

He wouldnt pay anymore thana round £1600 for it,so the money is low so he expects a few teething troubles but any advice for the viewing/from the ad

cheers all

yeah, have told him about the mods/standard ecu issue but it is only a 3 port and a decat so would just run badly, i wouldnt of thought it would Det at normal running, only on boost ?

i also noticed the seller had bought in the last mth bits for it now decides to sell it as cant afford it, that excuse always baffles me, plus the selling of internal engine bits makes me think its had engine work done cheaply and it needs shifting on etc

or maybe i`m paranoid LOL
