I would say that the focus will more than likely kill a wrx ppp, looking at over 300bhp and less transmission losses. From a standing start with a good start the Impreza will possibly pull away to start

prodrive told me my 05 wagon with ppp should be 265 a rs has to put all that power through the front wheels so a wrx should blitz it from standing through country roads might be a different matter i had an st170 before and they handle really well also i think the rs had limited slip diff but not 100%

What model year WRX is it? Newage car is quite heavy + running less power means it should get beat by the RS ... a classic on the other hand

TX.

Edit - just looked on torquestats - standard WRX gets to 100 in 15.7s, standard FRS takes 16.4s ... probably not much in it modded vs modded either.

I know my jdm sti killed an st from standing start, Have proven it a few times, but not sure about wrx, it will do 60 in 2nd so depends if the focus needs another gear change and how good the driver is. Mine is running about 340 estimated by the mapper.

A 2005 WRX with Stage 1 mods & remap will be 280-90bhp/280-90lbft on standard turbo so you'd think would be on par if not better than a Focus RS Mk1 with 260/270bhp.

But what I don't get is what's the big deal?

What I do know is I won't go back to a high power FWD car after my Saab Aero, forget it in 1st and 2nd as it's a waste of time!!
