Forecasters predicting 5-10 cm's of snow today Just a quick poll to see who is parking their car up nice and safe and who is thinking lets go have some fun. I know what my plans are.

Well unless your car is equipped with snow tyres I wouldnt be taking it out in the snow, dont be fooled that the AWD system is fantastic in the snow, its only as good as the tyres you have fitted, and winter/snow tyres do far better in snow than summer tyres (better braking, grip etc).

This is so true, i remember being fooled by that illusion years ago approaching a road about at 70mph and somehow managing to steer the car sideways around two other vehicles and the roundabout it self when the brakes failed
All tucked up in the garage, battery conditioner, car cover and all.... I`ll be in our 1.0 Suszki swift, on skinny winter tyres, much more formidable beast in the snow.
Having only collected my baby from having lots of new bits put on her yesterday and she feels totaly different to drive im going to leave her at home if it snows as I almost have to re learn how she handles again. And thats best saved for better weather imoh.
Don’t have the choice. I have to go to work but I finish tonight when it comes down heaviest in Southampton apparently. Question is do I take the Mk1 MR2 and slide everywhere or do I take the Scooby?
Managed last year in the Mk1 MR2 with summer tyres on so hopfully the scooby should behave A lot better?
No, not really. If you have winter tyres then yes, you will notice a real difference, but on summer tyres (or cheap summer tyres), you will have difficulties.
where i live there is car park a stones throw away with a round island in the middle 1st try when we last had snow and i was sideways lapping it like colin mcrae ! so ill be playing there when it arrives post some vids ? might see me crash lol
