Default Where to get a standard clutch

Evening guys

Just found out the my clutch has gone. Its a 5speed on a WRX 06.

I need to get hold of a push clutch for a 2006 wrx. I only wanna get a standard one as I'm gonna be upgrading to a 6speed in a few months time. I'd even go second hand if its a good one.

Any ideas where to get this from guys?

Thanks

Personally I'd put a wanted advert up for a 2nd hand clutch in good condition I've sold 3 decent standard clutches for £50 each so it's a big saving if you're only going to use it for a few months and you can sell it on again without losing much

Thanks guys, it's in wanted section too. The only issue with this is, I've gotta have it within two weeks as I'm in the middle of a rebuild.

Shaun, where abouts on that site is the clutch. It might be me but it's not the easiest site to navigate.

Cheers

What power are you currently running? I have a used standard 6 speed friction plate from my old engine but I am told that the friction plates are the same. If that's any use to you can have it, all you have to do is collect it (I can get it to Corby for nothing) or pay the P&P

It's not great but it was handling 320bhp on my old engine.

It would but I bet Stu's clutch is in better condition so you may as well have that one

I know they're slightly smaller than new age clutches but I don't know if that's a problem if its a temp fix ?

It'll fit yours because I believe all Subaru 5 speed turbo's are the same, the sport uses a pull clutch and the 6 speed has a bigger flywheel.

I might have one but if the old one isn't noisy it'll do the job for a few months

The bearing that sits on the clutch fork and clips into the centre of the pressure plate They can get noisy and not run free so get that checked out and if required I'll check if I kept mine, sure I did.

Yes if its just the clutch that needs replacing, as a short term the release bearing will be fine Most people when fitting a new clutch replace the bearing as it can rattle after time, but only because it's worth doing for longevity. If you're going 6 speed then replace it then
