Default High miles?

How well do scoobies take higher mileages? Say over 100k for a bug eye.

Cheers

Depends on how it's been treated.

Say a good service history. Would you say that putting 280bhp through a 120k engine would be asking for trouble?

Not necessarily.

I remapped my W-Reg classic on 95k for the first time - 273/273.

2nd time, changed turbo and remapped again to 325 when it was about 108k think it was. No problems at all

service history means nothing (main dealer)! what about the older cars that get serviced better than main dealers, by their owners i know of a 50000 mile full service history car that blew ! running 310 bhp , and a 134000 mile car thats still going strong ,serviced by its owner running 420 bhp

It would all depend on how the car's been used (or abused) I personally wouldn't buy a high mileage vehicle.

That said, there was a thread on here a few years back about some nearly new Impreza's being flogged by a dealer with very low mileage, problem was it had all been done on the track.

Anyone remember that?
