Im not completely sure but i think you need to buy a device that locks the cams in place so you can remove the belt. There is an oldskool trick n thats get a marker pen n stick a line on the pulley so you know where to mark them up

yeh, just take it apart, each cam pulley has 2 timing markings. if your nervous mark it up, in the technical section on here in archives there is a manual.

no point in marking the heads as you are swapping them , just make sure its timed up properly when you re fit the belt,. each cam pulley has 2 marks, the top and bottom pulley marks line up and the other 2 marks point at a right angle to the wings on the car,. the only other pulley is the crank pulley this has clear marks on it, once you have re built it if you are not sure get somone to fit the belt for you,.

There is a tool for holding the pully. Or use a chain wrench!

ok becouse the engine is out of car and the gearbox is not on the engine i have screwed 2xbolts into were the flywheel goes and put a bar between the bolts so it cant spin when i try to lossen the front pulley. i now am going to use a breaker bar or impact gun to get the middle front pulley of then i can remove the timing belt plastic cover, can i damage anything un-doing the 22m pulley bolt with a gun or breaker bar or will it just free of and *** off easy
