Default WHY DO CHAVS TRY AND DRIVE UP MY TAILPIPE WHEN I AM JUST GOING TO THE SHOPS OR WORK!!

Can somebody please answer this for me

Why when i am out in my scoob do people in halford specials try and push me along.

the other day i was going to the shops with my missus and kids in the car. sat at the lights and a Seat Ibiza drives up so close i thought he hadnt seen me.
then when i drove off slowly reaching 40 (the speed limit) he sat at the same distance about a foot from my car.

now i had my kids in the car i am not going to race and i wouldnt anyway its a built up area although it is a dual carriageway.

i just dont get it. then after a bit he gave up trying to push me along and pulled out aggressively and came past starring into my car as if i was driving like a dick!!!!

has anybody else had this and if so why do they do it??

i would also like to say my wife has a Fiesta Zetec 1.4 tdci. sometimes i drive that. and its funny i never get anyone trying to push me along in that!!!

I had it with an X5 yesterday, so I slowed to funeral pace. Most infuriating for him, it was!

Because they are a waste of the White stuff

I don't know why anyone would want to prat about on public built up roads. We had a young girl die at the top of our road new years eve when a car hit her, enough to pit anyone off speeding.

yeah but come on in a 1.2 ibiza. my missus 1.4 zetec Tdci is quicker than that.

i get the same thing on my bike. but then you have to have something real special to keep up with a bike.

To be fair, I had floored it about three minutes prior, that might have been the red rag to him.

Its just part of owning a car or bike that youngsters aspire to .
I get it in my spec f and zx10r.
If the conditions allow i would give it a wee dig for them.

I discovered the reason I pissed the chavs off is my speedo under reads a constant 5 pmh so in built up areas I'm actually doing 25mph..... where we live everyone else (over 50) does 39 EVERYWHERE. The Manx are also genetically unable to overtake it seems too.

yeah i think sometimes people with TDI's think there cars are fast. i had a passat tdi the turbo comes on so low down it feels like its quicker than it is. but then runs out 500 revs later. i think it gives them a false sense of speed.

its not until you take someone in your car and show them. and they go oh ****!!!!! i need some more pants!!!!

Chavette then puts out to conceive child number 4.

the sad thing they probably will own one. a chaved up £700 one off ebay. with a knocking engine. thrash it about for 2 weeks giving us sensible scooby owners a bad name. and then swap with another chav for a saxo 1.1 desire with some black alloys.

I suppose driving a scooby you attract the most weirdest people on the planet. Just don't get involved and drive along the way you intended too with the family.

You will not be the first or the last to experience this.

Thy do it all the time in the car and on the gxsr. There just thick. If I'm in the car I'm there worst nightmare. I usually pull the handbrake ( no brake lights) that's usually enough to **** them up and back off. However some *** in an old Megane with a massive wing, blue lights and what must have been a 7" exhaust was driving up my **** for about 4 miles. After that I snapped.. Slowed right down waited till he started overtaking and put my foot down enough to stay at his side. Now we're doing 50ish he's still on the wrong side and there's a sharp left handler comming up. I sped up and got round the corner, he didn't. Locked up and stopped in the road sideways. I turned round pulled up to the Chav who was whiter than his car, told him accidents happen when you drive up some someone's **** and off I went.
