Default How many of you Scooby drivers have come from the world of Classic VW's

Just saying as I have noticed a few remarks about people who have owned or do own a classic vw?

I being one of them. I own a 1970 Bug and a MY02 Impreza Wagon WRX.

So what do you have?

Lol, each to their own, they're morette I think. They're as I brought it:

I've not had an Impreza before so don't know what they're meant to look like but I don't mind them!

Luckily the front (i.e bonnet and engine bay) aren't affected and the front bumper will need paint, the side wings are both mashed and the offside driveshaft and wishbone are where they shouldn't be! Other than that its a few bits of paint needed and probably two wheels refurbed and it'll be back to "normal". The guy I brought it from managed to squeeze it between two cars.
The amount of rubbish that I took out of the car was insane though, could've used a shovel!! Lol, have cleaned it up but still tempted to get it valeted too just because I'm really picky when it comes to interiors.
If someone offered me silly money for the lights I'd probably change them but not sure what I'd put in after!

This was my previous daily but sold it when number 2 child came along and we decided it will be a few years before camping again. Bought the VW as a daily commuter and a WRX wagon as we have always had a thing for them (Previously also owned a Legacy GTB and an Impreza Sport)

This is starting to look a bit ones sided towards the bug eye scooby. It's the only shape to appear so far for those that own V Dubs lol. Nice one hehe

Or has something to do with the word "Bug" lol. It's starting to remind me of the newish VW advert, "did you hear that?, sounds just like a golf" or "16 valves, double over head cam, oh yeh just like a golf" LMAO!!!

I spent 10 years with classic aircooled VW's. Worked for a company restoring them, Ovals, Spilttys, KG's, Razoedge, Sambas, Notchbacks etc etc...We also restored a few 356's and 912's and 914's. I dont think there was a model we didnt restore....well....apart form maybe a Hebmuller.. We had many cars featured in Volksworld back in the 90's.

During that time i owned a '61 and '67 bug, '72 slammed Variant, '72 Baywindow and a '65 Splitty......Fun days..
