Trouble is the Skyline costs a lot more to buy then modify than the 7.5K for the R1. The R1 is probably easier to drive on the road, if the skyline ever goes on the road. The bike can be serviced by any Yamaha motorcyle agent and you can sell it after a couple years and get 75% of your money back . Okay it maybe quicker but didnt someone strap a turbo to a hayabusa .

Oh yes :

Well, my car is bulk standard so I've got to know what your car is beforehand. And no, I'm not going to do the pink slip thing like in The Fast and the Furious.

JackClark,

to win you got to do the 1/4 mile quicker than me, head to head, who ever crosses the line first wins.

chrisp,

think the 14.89s was ok for my first time at Pod, but was getting better with each run, and now running full de-cat.

Peccy,

i'll give you a shot, cos i'll most probably be there!

93 MR2 Turbo:
WRX280 - good man get in there Fellow MR2 (94 NA Rev3) owner here. Please tell me, what do you think of the turbo?

I really fancy getting one, but 2 main problems:

1. Insurance (cheapest quote £1400)
2. I already get my NA sideways in the wet, so a bit scared of the turbo coming on boost mid bend.

Any recommendations?

DW

i will be there.
if the car is running ok i will race.
just stuck a 22b intercooler on it and turned up the boost a little
but still playing with it to get it running ok without over boosting. should be on about 270-290bhp if i get it right

Which county is this 'fast and furious' street drag.

I'm Berkshire so if not in Scotland or N.Ireland count me in!

Will the max power topless babes be there?

I could bring my GSXR1000 and watch you go backwards :-)
However it's fairer to bring the WRX, which is only 348BHP at last check ;-)

Hmm, this is where all the p3nis sizing ++ comes in eh? Oh well, my standard 92 UK Turbo would still be coming there to show a thing or two that power!= winning.

WRXSTItypeRV5, I'm in the Oxford area and I'm at Reading most of the time. If you want, we'll drive up together. Its not that far according to my friend.
