This is the one I used last time...

Came as a part of a pack with plugs, oil and fuel filter for about £80 (Millers Synth oil and NGK heat grade 7 plugs). I already have a magnetic sump plug that I paid about 99p for although they are a lot dearer now

I bought one from eurocarparts as my local dealer has closed, seem ok and about £5, used shell helix oil as that's what's always been used in it according to service sheets I got with the car.

When I bought a Subaru one off here for a tenner I didn;t think to get a mag plug - luckily the Scoob already had one on
They do help suck stuff towards them floating around the sump. A Blueprint or Subaru filter will be fine. If in doubt call a local specialists and ask them. Plenty on here...

I've been told that the blueprint filters are better than the new (blue) oem subaru ones........even better still if you can get hold of an old blueprint that is the bigger one.

Would it be a decent quality one though, seeing as these are considerably dearer?
