Should you not disconnect the crank sensor and turn it over a few times like on an oil change? Just a thought

As above, can do no harm what so ever.
And if anything it would probably do some good.

The rings cams ect will be dry on start up but it shouldn't take long for the oild to get around. Just dont rev it up for a while. Petrol may be off by now though.

I dont think turning it over without starting would produce much oil pressure. If your not going to put paste on the cams lobes and some wd40 down the bores i'd just start it and let it tick over for a while.

I think your problem may be with the fuel in the fuel lines.

Been anywhere nice Dan?

I just started mine after 7 months in Afghan and she was fine, gave her a run and then serviced her. If you disconnect the crank sensor you'll get a fault light, other option is run a wire from the battery to the starter live connection and it will crank without starting as long as you leave the ignition off

I treated mine to a remap, ported headers, prodrive seat, decat etc etc, but I was on the old £2500 for 6-months otherwise I'd have had brakes too, and I got nothing for Libya

Haha I got nearly £6000 and have Harvey ported headers and up pipe, 3 port to go on sometime in the new year, if I ever get it back from the repair shop. But that's another story.

I just take the fuse out for the fuel pump and crank it that way. Much easier and leaves no warning light

I was part of the team that went in to assist in the evacuation, not SF, but assisting the embassy staff in getting the UK nationals out as the country went into melt down - no big secret and all above board
