I still badly want one of these... Almost talked myself into buying one earlier this year.

This one is not far from me either..

I've thought many times what I would do if my numbers came up.
I'd deffo buy a 22B, drive it straight to RCM with a blank cheque in the glove box.

I'm confused, why would anyone buy that over something like this?

Because to Impreza enthusiasts the 22B is the car we all would love in our garage. It's iconic, It will one day be a very valuable classic but most of all it looks absolutely stunning....
The 22B is a very special car and far far rarer than the porsche. You'll see one of those Porsches tomorrow driving through your town, I'd bet you a tenna you won't see a 22B.

Its like how people pay £30k for a lotus carlton, or Sierra cosworth.

Iconic car and abit special that only true enthusiasts will understand and really appreciate.

Just think of the depreciation. The 22B may depreciate but I doubt it. The Porsche will definitely depreciate.

Well I remember when they were hovering around £22k for as little as 5k miles. That was about a year ago though.

I guess if you know what the car is about then its value is in its appreciation and what people would pay for it. For me, I just dont get it. To me it is not beautiful in the slightest and looks like any other £2000 classic with a bit of Halfords kit thrown on. Im not trying to stir an argument, I genuinely can not see how it looks or is a £30,000 car.

Here is mine, paid quite a bit less than £30K but it does have 46k on the clock. The previous owner did take it to RCM with an almost blank cheque

Is it worth £30K? Well, is a low mileage Integrale worth £40K? A delivery miles E30 M3 worth £30K?

Its worth it to those that collect cars or enthusiasts. Is a Ferrari F40 really worth £350K?

Its worth whatever someone will pay for it.

Is it fair that classic Imprezas can't be given away? They were and still are great cars that really should be able to hold their value better.

F40...
Now we are talking.

Quite simply the greatest supercar the world has ever seen, and quite possibly the most beautiful ( well maybe second to the 250GTO).

There is also one in my town. A white (yes I know, not the best colour) calafornian import. The owner is about 80 and apparently had it for 30 odd years.

I was at the Gaydon Motor Museum for a conference recently and there was an absolutely mint one there. So many rare and iconic cars there.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has actually paid more than £25k for a 22b in the last 5 years. They are only ever worth what someone will pay. Doesnt matter what people ask for them.
