*rant* Foglights........
Why is it so many t*ats feel the need to blind you by unnecessarily having their fog lights switched on when its not foggy? Its difficult enough driving in the dark, rain and at rush hour without being blinded by these d*cks.

even worse when they not only have their fogs on, but headlamp alignment which seems to have been done by steve wonder, after he poked himself in the eyes a few times just to make doubly sure he couldnt do it right

Foglights: they get left switched on after being used properly. Matey starts his car up, foglights left on, he has no idea
Why, oh why can't the manufacturers fit a latching relay in BOTH foglight circuits, so that you can have 'em on, but the moment you switch off the ignition, they are "unlatched" and go off. You would then have to CHOOSE to have them on again.........
Legislation should compel them to do it, it would cost about £1 per vehicle to implement.
Even my 12 year old Xantia has that system to stop you switching on your headlights and driving away on main beam. It automatically defaults back to dip when the ignition goes off.

my blobs fog lights turn off when ignition is turned off.
you need to press the button to turn back on when restarting the car.

I totally agree!
I just turn mine on and put main beam on, they must be blind by that point
That's a brilliant idea!

I think you'll find the EU made car manufacturers design their cars to cut the fog lights when the lights/ignition was turned off a few years ago.
Thus it's only older cars that don't have this feature- like the Mk4 escorts, etc.
New cars with them on mean the driver did it intentionally. I see a few older drivers do it now that DRLs are fitted to some newer cars, because the poor confusded souls think they're meant to.
I wish dealers would PDi new cars properly and switch the frigin' things off before delivery. As a biker I dislike them on cars.
I'm more concerned at drivers who drive about with their mirrors still folded. Surely that's Driving without Due Care isn't it?

Never underestimate the stupidity of most people, their driving habits are a window into their mind , don't think it's malicious most of the time just incompetence, unless it's a beamer then it's plain arrogance and selfishness.

I know what your saying. Especially when they are using illegal HIDs. I just put on my full beams and fooglights and any other lights I can lol. But it really is dangerous if there are parked cars on the road.

This.
Drives me nuts. There's a knuckle dragger that drives the other way to me most mornings and I've been dreading the darker days; as his bloody naff A3 has the dumbest HID conversion I've ever seen. It lights none of the road up and just blinds everyone coming the other way
