I know exactly what you mean chap. Drove a 240bhp bugeye the other day, put my foot down in 3rd and.....................nothing happened! My classic is only 305bhp but pulls so much harder through the gears, I was suprised what an extra 65bhp and 40 lb/ft feels like in a lighter car.

Like you say, would never go back to a standard car thats for sure!

i dont think anti lag is going to give you any real noticeable difference for road driving, just a hell of a lot more heat for your turbo and exhaust system. If the car drives OK and feels fast enough then i would not worry about pub figures which seems to be the case

i've said since the day i got the car 400bhp and i'm stopping and if i'm honest at 360bhp there's more power than i can use but i do want the simtek whats ever it pull's i know there aint much out there that will embarrass me and it's still drivable and it's my daily drive

I currently run 400 BHP on an 18G with a biggish slug of methanol from an aquamist injection.....

in a way I miss my old 16G with 330 BHP. I felt it wasn't going to break something, outran most things on the road, wasn't going to try and kill me by jumping into the nearest hedge, didn't have to go for EXE-TC suspension, six speed or brakes........and I would be a shed load richer.

Plus with 400 BHP I was likely slower that Steve VRS with his Skoda who could drive better than me ......
