To good to be true?
Was browsing autotrader and came across this nice black JDM:
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi.../jdm?logcode=p
Had to do a double take when i looked at the price, so i began to jump round thinking i had found the perfect car. So i did i bit of digging round and turns it Keighley Trade Center is the dealer, and there seems to be nothing but horror stories about these guys. What do you guys make of it? Has anyone on here seen it or have any information regarding it?

if its at ktc i'd steer clear. a couple of mates bought cars from them and before they've got your hard earned they bend over backwards, but once they've got it they don't want to know.

Hopefully someone who lives local can pop round and take a look Andy, and possibly take some pics of any "minor" points not mentioned.
Be interesting to see if they still sell the same crap as mentioned on here for the last 4 years!

i went up to them a few weeks ago to view a blue JDM..they were bloody useless and seemed iffy to me..also they seemed really cagey answering any questions...they knew nothing about the car, had no paperwork, service history (ok, its a jdm but id've liked to have seen something)..they just felt suss, so i walked.

Went to look at an Evo with them once years ago before I knew anything about them. it looked mint in the pics but once I got there the only thing holding the rust together was the paint! It was rotten everywhere you looked - underneath, engine bay, sills etc etc. It was described as "mint" by the salesman .
Go on any japanese car forum and search for them and they will all have something bad to say about KTC. I'm suprised they are still going to be honest!!

I bought a car from Keighley trade centre a few years ago. It was a bmw alpina (1 off model). As i live a good bit away i phoned and asked all about the car before booking flights etc. I went to see the car and fell in love with it, but he had lied about the mileage it had done 20k more than he had said. when confronted he says he has so much he doent remember them all
Car was superb and the mileage got me a very good deal (i knocked £2500 off a 10k deal we had on the phone).
When i was there i also realised why he can sell cars at a low price (ie imprezas, evos, bmws). He mainly sells £100k+ supercars and the others are just trade ins.
To sum up he was fair enough to deal with and i got a cracking car but due to flight troubles etc he had to keep the garage open for me which he did (around 8pm) but when most the asian community turned up i did feel a bit on edge although they were ok

I would never buy a car from these. They do have a group of grarages but alot are fresh imports.
When I went over a few years back all the cars appeared to have been raced in japan. On the day we went the guys that worked their were playing football inside the warehouse kicking the football pull power against several of the cars one of which was a 200sx s14a we had gone to see.
When talking to the staff they did not know a lot about the cars or their history. I asked about a Honda crx, they said we have one coming in next week, I asked about another car and got the same answer
I would not buy a car from them! Like I said I believe the cars they import are ex racers/track cars in Japan
