when did subaru go to equal headers?
ive heard it was from 2005 models onwards (the last of the blobs?), plus all JDM and twin scroll models..is this the case?

It was from 03 and only the JDMs are equal length not the UKs

Correct, no uk's are equal, only JDM's

Was told my 2001 jdm sti had them? Sounds different to my old classic.

No your car is a single scroll model so it wont have them, only JDM twin scroll engines come with these as standard.
