Hello everyone :-)
Hi all, now the Evo is finally sold and I've bought my Impreza I thought I'd introduce myself and put a few pics up of the car I'd bought.
I'm Gaz from Derby (already been checking out the regional meets section) and been in to Jap cars for around the past 6 years starting with a N/A 5 speed Supra, upon selling acouple of years later it was just over 600 bhp with a single turbo conversion/supporting mods and nitrous. Then moved to Evo's, owning an 8MR, *2 9GT's and a 7 Extreme S.
I've now bought my first Impreza Its a 53 plate, blobeye STi.
Completely standard, only a couple of owners from new with 10 or 11 service book stamps. Going through all the paperwork when I was buying and its been maintain throughout all its life to a high standard and for its age is in really good condition.
Interior and under the bonnet are spotless, body work wise there's a few stone chips on the front end and 2 or 3 door dings around the car but not that noticeable at all. It has approx 11 months MOT and will require a service next year (although I'll do the oil and filters shortly) and the brakes will need replacing after Trax this Sunday as Ive got acouple of sessions booked for the track and there's not a great deal of meat on them and quite a lip on the disc.
Today I've fitted a front splitter and tomorrow will be changing the back box to give it a bit of a rumble until I buy a complete system (I've never heard a scoob so quiet!) Also bought a RCM induction kit and on the look out for a few other stage 1/2 parts (Walbro, decat system, possibly some lowering springs or coilovers and brakes).
Anyway, here's afew pics for the time being that are from the PH's advert, I havent had chance to get any myself yet with the splitter on:
Cheers, All the best
Gaz

Hi Gaz, new motor looks sweet. Very well priced too.
Im probably in the same shoes you were in about two weeks ago, looking for a new blob STI. If i remember you were interested in the silver one for sale now in the for sale section (https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...ow-milage.html)
Just wondering mate, did you go up and have a look at this one in the end or didnt you bother? Im planning on taking the 8 hour trip up to see it sometime soon, just asking for your opinion if you had?
Cheers Gaz

Thanks for the welcome guys
Thanks mate, also got it a bit cheaper than the ad price too so was very pleased
In the end I didn't mate. Was seriously tempted as it's a cracking price and I was checking out train tickets etc until I saw the one go up for sale that I bought. The crystal grey one does sound nice but from the thread I found (even though it's probably fine) it didn't really fill me with confidence so I didn't take the trip up.
Will be able to answer that better after Sunday's track sessions and when I've upped the power a bit as 3 Evo's were 390-410bhp and 1 at 600.
Although, as a road car at the minute I'm really enjoying it, 6 speed box is a joy and in general the car is very sharp and responsive.
Just got round to fitting my back box too, the sound is uncomparable
Thanks again,
Gaz

Great car mate, also bought an 03 black sti only a month ago from piston heads too in standard spec bar ppp. After a few mods, map and handling improvements car is spot on now. What's the mileage on the car and what did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking? They so look the best in black.
