Default blobeye sti shopping list, help please?

right, ive got circa £600 to spend on mods.

i am new to the newage imprezas so need some help if you dont mind..

i have a cat back exhaust (ninja 2) and a induction kit but looking to buy a standard airbox with a panel filter.

so i would like the following;

decat downpipe
front splitter
any other engine mods to get as much power as possible.

i cant seem to find the downpipe i need as i have no idea what size i need to fit the rest of my system!
what splitter is best, i like the sti one on this page..
http://www.subaru-impreza-body-kits....oilers_3.html#

please add suggestions as i dont want to get it wrong.

thanks
rich

Is the japspeed decat downpipe any good?? 3" with a 2.5" connect? Will this fit my existing system?
Thanks

Your ECU is mappable like via EcuTek or Open Source(contact here Duncan@Race Dynamix,Neil@Slowboy Racing,Graham@Engine Mapper,Rich@FB Tuning).Open Source remap is cheaper and give you same results for less cash like Ecutek.

For 330bhp+ you don't need induction kit, just fit uprated panel filter like K&N,Green Cotton etc,3-port boost solenoid,Walbro 255lph(HRC are great and cheaper than Walbro).

Not sure about the 3-port boost solenoid,i know some Impreza have some no.

Now about the Induction kit,on your with no power mods i would suggest re-fit OEM airbox with good panel filter.

I would fit everything before day of remap(3 port boost solenoid i would leave on mapper,he will fit),because you must run off the boost to remap, due decatted exhaust can cause overboosting(boost spike).

Which induction kit you have fitted?

Just on this whole point of remapping. Is it really necessary to fit a sports cat downpipe and decat centre pipe, in order to get circa 300 bhp from my bog standard 2005 STI.

Its got a Prodrive back box, so if I just get a panel filter, will this be enough for a remap to around 300 bhp? Cheers.

Absolutely, catted dpipe is very restrictive, so get the sports one, plus the other bits u will see minimum 320-330.

why is a standard airbox set up better than a induction kit?

are fuel pumps hard to fit?
