Default Changing exhaust

Hi all

I've got a new exhaust that needs fitting - turbo back

I'm going to do it myself; can anyone give me any pointers? My main issue is how do I get the old exhaust off the rubber hangers? It's a prodrive so don't really want to resort to the hacksaw...

Is it best to put it up on axle stands?

Thanks in advance

spray the inside of the rubbers with a little wd40 makes it a lot easier to pull them away from the brackets

Make sure you have a lambda socket as they can be hard to get out and expensive if broken, back box and centre pipe us easy to do the downpipe bolts can be a bit awkward give everything a good soaking in wd40 the night before

As above, downpipe nuts and bolts can be an ****. You'll get to three of them from the top but the other two need attacking from under the car.
Plenty of WD40 will make it easier.
Getting it off the hangers is the easy part chap.

this is my recommendation is from experience go to your local tyre shop that have a ramp and let them do it they would only charge you about £40 and do it in about an hour if you do in less than 2 hours of rolling around on the floor smashing nuckels i think £40 is cheep

As above, you washing up liquid. Don't you WD40 as it will attack the rubber hangers over time and one day your exhaust will be dragging on the floor.

Just take your time. If you have axle stands, you won't need a ramp. If a bolt ain't going to budge, spray some wd40 on it and come back to it in 30 minutes.
