Default Thinking of an Engine Rebuild

I have a lovely looking Subaru which is now running 330-340 bhp after a remap.
I am however using a bit of oil, about halfway down the stick over 500 miles.
So, am thinking of removing the engine & gearbox. Forged Crank etc for the engine, which I need to find out the best place to buy my engine parts from, then fix this bloody gearbox bearing that I hear when on over run down a bank..... not sure of which it is yet though

I have seen a recon scoob engine for £850 but that will be all standard stuff I assume so thats why I am thinking of the Forged parts. I want to keep the car and so want it right.

Clutch and flywheel will also be changed at the sametime, so this could be a winter project me thinks as I arent really in no huge rush... he says

Keep away from those "recon" engines, places like smr (also go by the name of heathrow engines and ideal), sell crap and you pay twice when you could have just done it properly the first time.
Parts can be bought from pretty much anywhere, try lateral performance for one

To be fair I spoke to Mark last week and was going to buy a clutch from him, but I dipped the oil to find it low. It is not dropping any so I can only assume it is using it.
I will give Mark another ring with a bigger list this time

P.S. Bigarf, myself and "303" would recommend Enginetuner.
