Mines on the plus side of 150bhp but the suspension (STI5) is a god-send on the twisty stuff - keeps the standard uk turbo boys on their toes
Ref pictures - not that clever with IT but pictures on the Sportsters site. Will give it ago.

Stephen,
nice car and I've been so tempted to put Subaru along the bottom too - smart -but the wife gives me a hard time evry time a little sticker appears.
Ref the engine, we had this discussion on the e-group not so long ago but basically, pre MY99 sports are phase 1 at 115bhp and post MY99 are phase 2 which are 125bhp standard, I firmly believe, along with other Sport owners, that the Sport has a lot of potential and at some 40kgs lighter at the front end than a turbo, is not under-estimated by owners of turbos. All Imprezas are equal, some more than others!!

GasGas300??
Get air in (induction kit preferably a sealed unit) and get exhaust gases out (decent exhaust cat-back but replacing/getting rid of the cat will see powergains too)

good to hear that the Sports stood their ground, it's amazing what a tweek here and there can do. Afterall, we've the same chassis and flat 4 to work from as the turbo and 40kgs lighter
Good to hear that more will be joining the group - we'll have to organise a meet or two
