Default Got my first impreza yesterday :)

Picked up my first impreza yesterday.

Looked at a fair few, all pretty different in terms of prices, spec, condition. I was looking for something with a good strong unmodified engine that had been mechanically well looked after and think I got a good deal with this one.

66k miles, cambelt done at 50k, turbo just been serviced, servicing parts always good qualtiy, green cotton air filter fitted.

Knocked some money off the asking price because there was no power going to the aftermarket headunit, the scoop needs a respray and someone has been a little curb happy with the wheels. All things that can be sorted and I'm not planning on keeping the standard wheels anyway.

Future Plans are:
- Exhaust (loved the sound of the PPP model I drove but the rest of the car wasn't quite right, so I'll be after something similar.)
- Rota Wheels
- Probably a little lowering but nothing too extreme
- STi high level spoiler

First it needs a good clean though, I'll post some pics up in the gallery once she's all washed and waxed. Today's job is investigate the headunit though, need my music in the car!

Just out of interest, how much did you pay for it and was that private or a dealer?

Thanks all, Norman Dog - paid just over £4380 for it from a trader, managed to knock them down a fair bit on what they wanted for it.

Oh and one mod you haven't mentioned in your list. I'd colour code the side skirts or buy some second hand STI ones as it makes a massive difference to the look of the car especially when you add a high level spoiler

Gary, forgot to add the skirts, but yes I'm planning to get the skirts colour coded at the same time as getting the high level spoiler done and the scoop resprayed

Loved the sound of the prodrive one, not too noisy but a nice low note to it. The standard one is a bit too quiet realy, engine and turbo sound does make up for it a little though.

There's a genuine sti spoiler in wr blue in trade for sale for £300, good price and no painting required, also you will easily find some sti sideskirts in wr blue for £100 , another good mod is the sti winglets, also good cheap option on exhaust is a prodrive 2nd cat delete and backbox used and get a centre deres section, looks good though welcome to wrx ownership.
