Default Member philS scooby - Careful what you buy off him

So I bought a block off phil AKA philS scooby a while back. Seemed like a nice enough kid when we met, it was late, I'd be driving for nearly 10 hours that day and still had to get from Gateshead back to London.

My fault that I didnt check the block properly.

Few weeks later when the block was examined it was noted that the block was fooked. Scrap.

I emailed him to let him know but as always with these people, no reply.

So I came accross a thread of his the other day and posted on it about the block. The links below and as you will see he offered to refund the money if I sent the block back.

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-websites.html

Unsurprisingly Phils word is just that, a word. Despite 3 PM's and a post requesting a phone number and address to return the block to and also a request of half the refund now, half on delivery he hasn't replied. He's logged in 5 or 6 times so as you know, when you log in it tells you that you have a message so he's definately aware.

So there you have it. Now you all know that philS scooby is a dishonest kid who's word doesnt mean **** all. Just though I would make the decent majority of members on here aware of what type of person you'll be dealing with if you choose to buy off this guy.

Reputation down the pan for the sake of £200 and inability of being decent and doing the right thing.

What goes around comes around Phil and Karma can be a real bitch.

Had a quick look at the bores, deck faces, oil squirters but it was late, dark and I was knackered. But yeah, lesson learnt.

Still no excuse for such a **** poor carry on on his behalf.

2 threads as not everyone uses the for sale or general section.

More people aware the less chance of someone else getting shat on.

I hope you get this all sorted need4speeduk

But just out of curiosity was this block for your own use or were you going to sell it on as a lot of your posts seem to be about getting CDB and 2.2 blocks and selling them on..presumably at a profit.

Just curious..

Shaun, Matt has a tendency to buy numerous parts that he doesn't really need.

At one point he had 3 Fuelab FPR's.

If you look between the two bearing journals at the top of the picture you can see the bottom of the bore is F'd

Isn't there a picture on a thread where he (phils scooby) shows a knackered V2 internals...along with a lot of other pics swapping engines with his sisters car ?

hope you get this sorted out mate.its a shame that there is people still willing to do others over and all for a measily £200.some people would take the rings off a dead mans finger if they got the chance.
