Most Popular Sti7 Colour?
#1
Hi Guys,
Not sure what colours are available there but in Oz we have Blue, Black, White & Silver.
In your opinion which will be the most popular colours?
IMO the silver looks wrong with gold wheels but the white look quite the weapon (concealed).
Any opinions?
Bear in mind i will be keeping it for a long time (damn missus )

Blue is the most popular - BY FAR! (yawn!) in NZ.
I've spotted maybe 8 blue STi's here and only one other silver. (plus a couple of white ones).
Silver is the new blue - I have silver and it looks really good in the metal. Much better with the gold wheels than blue IMHO.

I'll second that.
It has been valeted this morning, quick check, yep, Blue/Black is the colour
It also appears nicer on anthracite wheels and nasty Subaru badges removed, but I may be slightly biased on that point!

This is a question I've been asking, and seem to have come to the conclusion that Blue/Black is the colour (for me), after looking at tons of pic's.
Blue is a very nice colour, and it makes your scoob stand out in a crowd, but it is for this very reason that I dont choose Blue as my favorite colour - just too tempting for theifs!! Silver is, again, a very nice color and this was the colour for me until recently, when I saw some pics, posted somewhere in here, of the Blue/Black. IMHO the Blue/Black seems to be a bit more reserved and blends in with other vehicles and looks well nice with a bit a polish applied. I think? Dave T-S has some nics piccies of his 2, for a comparison.
I suppose the debate of which colour is 'Best' is really down to your own personal preference and what you want the car to say about you.
Happy hunting.

One thing with the DBM is that it really shows up scratches, even really light ones in the paint. I am very careful when cleaning it and only use decent shampoos, waxes, sponges and cloths but you can still see swirls/lines appearing in the paint. I have a m8 with the same colour and his is doing the same.

All,
My MY99 is in DBM and it also shows up the scratches. That's why i've ordered my sti7 in Silver. Bit boring, but shouldn't show up as bad than the blue or black.
Gareth.

DBM - sorry to ask a stupid' question, but is this the Blue/Black??
If so, it's interesting to read that it shows scratches really easily as this is the colour that I'm sold on at the moment - maybe, if this is the case, I should go back to the Silver choice.
Anybody else got the Blue/Black and have probs' with surface scratches??

Noodle,
I looked a Blue/Black and a WR blue in the show room, i.e. new. And under the artificial light I could see scratches. Most people it does bother, but it annoys me.
I remember the first day I got my MY99 home after picking it up and seeing loadsa scratches on the rear spoiler when parked in my garage. Lancasters polished it at the 1000 mile service, but it was only slightly better..... I don't look to close now and don't wash it as often....
Thats why I chose silver, I also thought about white, but the sales guy said that they don't hold their value as well ??
