Default Decision time....

With the new car ordered, it's time to decide what to do to the impreza..... I will keep the car for a little while longer idea is to not put anymore cash into the impreza... Too much has already been spent.

Option 1 - leave it as is see

Option 2 - out and out track car - strip, remove road wheels for semi slicks, no more engine mods

Car is currently partially stripped, racing seats and harnesses, rear half cage, on road wheels (semi slicks in the corner of the workshop), running 383bhp (induction, fmic, turbo, furling, exhaust), bc coilovers (as well as arbs, anti lift kits, drop links), pf discs and blue stuff pads.

Depends what your new car will be used for .... If its road/track car , than id strip the impreza... If its a family car, than keep the scoob for blasts...

New car is a nissan GTR. It will be more than good enough for the road blasts

Take Scooby to local Council Estate - put sign in window FOR SALE - wait for the offers and sell.

Sell it as a 'Benefit Chariot'

Or a Track Car sounds good fun

I have finished the scoob, so don't want to sell. Also not willing to put GTR on track straight away.

I would not say loaded, but I work hard and get paid well - I also like to spend my money on things I like. Also, and the main thing, is that the missus and I have agreed to not have kids.

Pretty much where I got to... so now to strip out the rest of the car and use on the track for a little while, until I can afford to run the GTR as a track car and buy my Koenigsegg

Ok, so what can be stripped?? Dont want to have to put money into the car, so not want to remove something and have to replace with something rather expense EG. lexan windows....

Honestly if you're only going to keep it for a while, leave it as it is and track it.

Taking all the stuff out is a pain in the ****, and it becomes a lot "harder" inside (i.e. noise etc), and there's lots of nasty metal to hit your head on in collisions etc. I'm currently having a cage welded in to mine, but I intend to keep mine for a long time still (had it for 8 years).

When you come to sell, as you will, you'll probably find that a stripped out impreza is worth a lot less than one with an intact interior, so if the aim is to not spend any cash, then keep the interior. Whilst it's a non cost option now, the cost further down the line might be substantial.

In all honesty, if or when I do sell the car, it will be broken for parts as I will never get a decent amount for it.

Track cars are meant to be noisy... thats why we have BIG exhausts and even BIGGER turbos!!!
