Default A4069

Nice day out today, didn't know what to expect from all the hype. What I will say is it doesn't disappoint - here's the hairpin

Come on you should have been coming out of the hairpin sideways, tyres smoking with a big smile in your face - that's the way I like to take that hairpin.

Its around 30 mins from my house to the A4069 - next time your planning to come down let me know and I can usually rustle up 10-20 like minded drivers given some notice. Plus we can take you to some roads off the beaten track which are just as good if not better.

I've organised some runs over the last couple of years with some shandy drinking drivers from 'darn sarf' and we've always had a really good day of it.

Hehe. There is blue smoke coming of the rear wheel...

It's just my smooth style - not

Will give you a shout next time for sure. Cheers

I'm just hoping that one day that I'll run into the Top Gear team either on the A4069 or on the Brecon Beacons whilst out in my Impreza.

Every time I've seen them I've either been in my other car, works van or they've been parked up doing some stationery shots.

Welcome to God's country !

Some nice roads up that way aren't there, you'll have a better understanding of what i mean by 'getting the rear end unhooked' now you've experienced some of them !

Check out the B4560 and B4520 along with the 'private' military road from Llywel to Tirabad next time your in the area .

Must give a big thanks to who I think was Park Garage (Brynamman), they dropped what they were doing when we turned up with to look at a overheating water leak. Turned out to be from the thermostat housing

Nice. Much faster looking road. I like the 4069 for it's slower twisties. Seems to suit the Type R very well

We had 3 scoobys and I think about 10 ppl. Did a bit of sledging too

The two turbos got stuck and I had to pull them out and we all pulled out a fair few boy racers in their corsas and such. Luckily I didn't have any moments.

Sounds like a good day

It's quite steep up there - or rather going down Snow tyres would have been tempting fate eh

Ha ha, as you can tell that was on low Yoko Parada Spec 2's, 205/40/17.

Not the best in the snow but very sideways

I was bricking it going down towards the hairpin but all 3 of us got round quite safely. It was surprisingly easy to control.

Wow! That looks like a hell of a drive and I'd love a go at that. That road would be awesome in mine if I had some brakes
