I think it's about time that I organised another run around the great roads we are lucky enough to have in God's country.
I am thinking of the following dates as suitable:
7th July - Saturday
8th July - Sunday
15th July - Sunday
28th July - Saturday
29th July Sunday
I have two possible suggestions :
1. A run around the Brecon Beacons to take in the A4069 Black Mountain Road, The Epynt Ranges, The Llangynidr Mountain Pass, Rhyaedr and The Elan Valley (possibly Aberystwyth as well), Newbridge-On-Wye to Beulah Road.
2. A 'little' bit further this one but it would make for a good day out and that is a run up to and around North Wales in particular around the 'Evo Triangle'. This would mean making an early start and taking a more direct route of Brecon, Leominster, Shrewsbury, A483 to North Wales.
My personal favourite would be the run up to North Wales but I understand that not everyone can literally give a whole day to the event, but it is well worth doing. I really enjoyed my time out on the roads in North Wales at the Colin McRae weekend last July along with Ian and Glenn.
Rest assured that if we go around the Brecon Beacons it will still be a very full day and well worth doing.
I am also as well to listen to any possible suggestions for alternative routes.
I will start at list below for those interested, please include whichever day is your preference plus your route choice as well.
1. Cannon Fodder - any date - North Wales Run

Me and Dave (tiptoptaff) will be up for this. Sunday is the best for me (any of the sunday dates) as not sure which Saturday I have to work in July.
Don't mind which route we go on and i'll leave it up to Dave which car we take (the Wagon or Red).

If we do go to North Wales then meeting up in Leominster would be as good a place as any, but if we go around the Brecon Beacons it's only 30 miles from Leominster down to Brecon anyway and I'm sure Ryan could show you the way down.

Come on people, by now I expected to have had far more interest and names down than this...
We always have a good day out and had some memorable times, so come on get your names down.

Well if not July then it would probably be in September, but you could bring the hearse along.
No problem you are more than welcome to come along, North Wales for me is first choice but it depends on what the consensus is.

Ok thats great,
I will keep an eye out for the posts for the date and time and will see you all soon
Sounds good to me aswell, maybe the distance of the other route,is a bit daunting,to some due to the fact these cars do,low 20's to the gallon, but i myself would have the kids,so Would be getting about 27mpg lol.

Ok, I will put you down on the list as it's only provisional so far.
Move back to God's country and live the dream, well not in Aberdare anyway.

I really thought there would have been more interest than this by now.
I'll give it until the end of the week to see if there's any more interest, if there's no more interest then I'll look at postponing until later on in the summer (late August or September) or just shelve it altogether.
