Default trolley jack???...

Hi everyone,
my car is currently on axle stands as i am doing the brakes.

what i want to know is am i right in thinking i jack the rear up via this??....

Also i have a little block of wood to protect it but should i be jacking it where the numbers/ letters are (as it doesnt seem very wide??) or the lip part that sticks out towards the front (which is longer width ways??)

Cheers guys

that is you're rear diff, if you put a block of wood under it I would have thought it would be ok in the middle.
