hey,

since im 17 theres no way i can afford a subaru of my own, my dream since 1998 was to own a subaru and i've always set my eyes on a blue and gold subaru.

Why did subaru stop doing the imprezas in blue? by time i can afford subaru insurance im going to have to buy a 08 subaru impreza which will be 10 years old. lets not ignore the fact of how ugly the new impreza look compared to the 03-07 impreza's

Yes the WR blue has been replaced with the plasma which has a purple tinge to it and looks stunning

Of course I just love my 2009 WR blue hatch

im jealous of you.

i just dont see why they discontinued such a unique and eye catching colour, they shoulda kept it. until i can afford a nice saloon im looking at a 1.5 hatchback

but when i was looking for my sti i only wanted a blue one.
the only other colour i might consider is white

yeah, its a shame, my ultimate dream car is a 03-05 prodrive sti blue with gold bbs alloys... unfortunatly i wont be able to get this, i may be lucky in the future to get a 07 model in good condition, grats on your car mate

mine had gold wheels when i got it but quickly changed to anthracite.
gold doesnt look quite as good nowadays

They are not out of Rallying only the WRC, privateers are still at it. The hatch uses a darker blue and silver on the official cars, Tommy Arai etc.

yeah i kinda miss the days where rally was 100% rally, now it appears it is who can have the shinyest car and have the biggest monster logo while they drift around a car park... pretty cool however, doesnt compare to solberg/mcrae screaming down a dirt track.

i think i am going to have to just wait for insurance to drop and get my hands on a WR Bue 270GB :O:O:O

but comon, lets be serious.... its not a subaru without WR Blue what you guys have is a fast white/black/red car

lol i know there were only 100 version 2 555 sti wagons as well.

The white blob eye question was just that i bought one and would like to find out as you very rarely ever see uk cars in white.

In the Uk you can only get Plasma Blu. BUT WR Blue but it IS available on JDM/EU cars IIRC

I saw a WR blue 2011 saloon in Barcelona a few weeks ago

i think the older cars i.e. classics bugs blobs and hawks look the best in blue as thats what the rally cars were and everyone recognises them just by the colour.
although white looks good too but thats it colourwise for me.
the newer cars look great in white but i did see a silver one in the showroom and it looks good.
i think the black parts that are on the newer cars help break the colour up a bit as silver really didnt look great on the older cars.
love to see a new wr blue saloon close up.
