Default Momentum 99 causing problems. Wirral

Been using this stuff as well as V power for a while now and never had a problem with it till this week. Filled up at Tescos with their Momentum 99 and the car just felt flat. Just been to Shell and filled up with V power and she's back to normal.

The Tescos i filled up at was the Bidston Moss one on the Wirral incase anyone wants to avoid it etc.

well it might just be me not usually driving the car as spirited as i am atm heh
im hoping to get a remap by Alan Jeffery in Pymouth but hes ignoring my PM's
hoping that will help with the fuel use at full chat a little anyhow heh

drive wise it seems ok on tesco stuff for me, just seems to drink more

some might laugh but i filled up with momentium and drove sensibly/low revs to work and back for a week and did 370 miles then filled up and only got 50 litres in. its a 60 litre tank so 400 miles is easily possible. though doing 70 or less on the motorway was painfull. normal driving has resumed lol

Always steer clear of supermarket fuel. Read somewhere that it's of less quality compared to the big guns like shell.

sorry for bit off topic, but.. since i bought my00 uk model in january, i've been filling up with tesco's 99, but some say for a uk model, 95 should be fine? any advice on if i should stick to 99, or go with 95? only got induction kit, otherwise, standard for now..

stock UK MY99 ill run fine on either, runs slightly better on the 99ron. Have a read up on MAF failures (search function) as the MY 99's have weak MAF's leading to engine failure in some cases. Linked to induction kits especially ones requiring oil.

I know the additives that make it into momentum 99 are added once it is in the tanker ready to be delivered so maybe whoever did it got it wrong. Not the first time supermarkets have had problems with their fuels.

I've never heard of shell having any issues regarding their V Power though.

Well shell normaly same price as tesco near me so i normally go for v power. But twice tried momentum 99 and didn't feel responsive enough. Tried from few diffrent places, will stick to v power or esso 97.
