people scratching my bumper
#1
Hi all.
I guess I just want a bit of sympathy really… Is it just me or do other people who park their scooby on the road find that the bumpers seem to receive more than their fair share of bumps and scrapes? On my silver MY99 I have at least one scratch through to the black plastic on each of the four corners, none of which was inflicted by me! It’s so annoying as they’ve all happened when the car has been parked outside my house, I’ve not tried to cover up the marks as the g1ts keep doing it, so I figure there’s no point.
But when I do want to sort out the paintwork any thoughts as to the best product?
Thanks
Andy

Same problem here. Some people have no respect for other peoples property. Makes me mad
Thats why I'm moving to somewhere with a garage and driveway (See Non-Scooby)

I know the feeling - doesn't help living in London!
Recently got hit whilst the car was parked outside my house, I think I know who did it, but they wouldn't admit liability. Went through the insurance and it cost £1000!!!
Tend to have to get a mobile paint repairer out to sort out the scratches every 6 months or so!
Next car I get (hopefully a STi) I will make sure I get that Armourfend protective stuff put on.

You will recognise my scooby in a supermarket car park, coz itll be parked in the middle of know were, miles away from everyone else!
Nothing worse that a trolley rash or door crease on a perfect car.
Id rather walk the extra 200 yrds than get me car wacked.
I was reading in a magazine in our local pizza gaff over the weekend an advert for a company specialising in trolley rash, and door creases, etc. They were like an insurance company and for an annual fee you could claim for up to 4 minor bodywork accidents per year, dont remember the mag or the subcription fee,coz i was a bit worse for wear.Any one shed any light on the subject?

I also know the feeling of gaining those annoying dinks and scrapes on the doors and bumpers.
I even had an incident with an old lady fully swinging her door into my parked car at a supermarket while I was sitting in the thing. She made no attempt to apologise until I challenged her and when I did challenge her she claimed that she was disabled and I had not allowed her enough space to park although I was there first and the disabled parking spaces were no more than 20yds away and closer to the supermarket for her!
Such ignorance P$&s's me right off!!!!!!
