Default 02 Wagon front end conversion - costing out

I have decided to start accumulating parts needed for a front end conversion on my '02 wagon - front wings, prodrive bumper, liners etc. Found a pair of wings on ebay, but the fella wants £200 for the pair delivered. A bit steep, but I may be wrong.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...item3cb882dc71

What's the general concensus regarding costs? I'd be hoping to pay no more than £100 for a pair of wings, 250 ish for the bumper, 20-50 for liners depending.

Cheers for input

Anyone who just happens to have any bits doing nothing, pm me!

Sorry but I am guessing that you are converting a wrx to a sti?

If so one little pointer rather than just buying up parts as they are cheap factor in the respray costs if they are not in your cars colour. Try and hold out for the same colour code and pay that little more if need be as the finish will be better once complete. I think you will be looking at 80-100 to paint a wing and 150 quid a front bumper so it can mount up fast unless you can paint it yourself.

Also check out the breaking section on here and try and work out a deal for a full front end from one place it will be a lot quicker and easier

Best of luck

Stevie1982

The wagon has a narrower front on the bug, quite a few people upgrade the front end to the wider WRX / STi to make it look a bit more meaty

Yes - a wrx to saloon front end sti or wrx. Started a thread a while ago in styling section: https://www.scoobynet.com/styling-36...ont-ideas.html

I'll dig out my paint code - thanks for the tip. You're quite right paint costs could easily mount. Where's the best source for the paint code?

I think it will look very good once finished.

Lol - this is what happens whenever I start tinkering. I hadn't even thought about that.

What's involved in that particular process? I'd hate to have the arches unfilled, hopefully the pff's will do a reasonable job.

You may well be spot on with the paint code too - black with a bit of blue flickering away when the sun's shining. I'll check once we're back home - on hols a the mo. Just started breaking the news to my better half, come personal banker. She's very understanding!
