Default Bug eye bumper/front ideas

The standard front bumper on my '02 bug is flaking and I'll be getting a respray soon. However, it may be good to have a change. Any recommendations for different bumper grille combinations most welcome. I've always liked to WRC look, as per the scoobyworld.

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=1334

I don't want a low lip - bumpy roads round here. Current car below:

Cheers in advance for any suggestions/pics.

I like the look of the prodrive one one ebay - simple lines. I wonder if the wagon shares the same fixing/line up points as the saloon?

Thanks for suggestions.

The curse of the wagon - bumper will not fit from saloon. To make it fit you're looking at a front wing conversion. Interesting to see how that looks without the matching rear conversion.

Any wagon owners out there whove done something similar?

I was worried in case the front didn't match the back, but I do like the look of yours. Apparently the saloon front wings bolt straight on and so would match the bumper perfectly. I'll start to cost it out.

Cheers.

Yes is straight bolt on,easy to do,but you will need also Wheels arch liners(these plastics) from saloon, because from wagon doesn't match.

With Rear wing is complicated, but HT Autos selling Wide Arch kit for wagons too,but around £500 is too much.

Front wings you can easily pick up for £80 for both, bumper as above people suggest £250..

Good luck matey

Managed to get my hands on a prodrive bumper and sti wings ready for the transplant. Looking for some wheel liners next, which should be a doddle to source. Might take a few months of saving and spraying but can't wait. Thinking about de-badging too - keep it clean.

Good man - the Prodrive one is the one to go for.
The later shape STI grille is also 100 x better looking than the original ones that the WRX's came with

Crystal side repeaters and markers also look good.
Take a look at mine as I've got all this stuff fitted

Well, car's gone in to the body shop. Saloon wings and pro-drive bumper will soon be in place. I found colour matching items, which as saved on spraying, although the bumper will have a respray.

Will have the old girl back after I've been away for a couple of weeks. Should look good.

I collected the car yesterday and I'm very please with the results. I fittted the scoop and grille today to finish it off. The bumper needed a spray, all done and fitted together for £350. Parts extra of course.

Now have a black Zun Sports grille mesh insert and the other old bits to get rid of!

I think I'll leave them plain. I may also debadge the rear.

I definitely need to paint the items behind the grille - looks a bit tatty.

Totally agree about the scoop . . . . I can actually see where I'm driving now too!

Cheers for the positive comment, much appreciated

They seem to be going for £75 new. So I reckon £45 plus whatever the postage comes to. I have not advertised yet, so you may well be the first to ask, but that seems like a fair price. I'll put pics up in the for sale section once I've got my act together, but you can see it on the car above.
