4 hours drive to the famous Andy Forrest in Edinburgh.
There are also a number on here that could come to you and also do a great job - Jolly Green Monster (Simon), Duncan at Racedynamix, Bob Rawle (not seen Bob on SN recently?), etc, etc.

Are AET, Scooby Clinic and The Racing Line all no-no's these days in regards to mapping. I ask as I'd like someone ideally to fit me a 2.5 bottom end and do the mapping.

Give Steve Cotton of cotton competition a call, he looks after my type- r and is an ecutek licenced mapper, they do rally prep and specialise in subarus and full on engine rebuilds, very hight quality of work, there situated in garstang near preston in the north west

Ok you can happily run these on shell v power and octane booster, the ecu is good enough to retard the ignition when it needs to, though your also worth getting a phormula ks3 knock sensor (very good bit of kit) even after it's remapped
Is yours a vx reg?

might be a vx think weve got mixed up, the car was fine when i got her just abit slow, so i went to teg/simpson he said he carnt map ecutek so i bought a simtek and got it mapped. so now ive taken the simtek out to go in my track car and put what i thought was the original ecu back in, it turns over but wont fire and the key light is lighting up so i assume he has given me the wrong ecu back, so now my car is just sat there feeling sorry for itself and im dying to drive her again

If you have a vx one your ok there is one nasty 55 plate out there that was badly repaired, it has a uk car bumper on it, big give-away.
The ecu should be plug and play, mine will go in yours and it should work, check to see what ecu is in there.

Do you need to swap the cam/ crankshaft sensors ? My knowlege here is flakey so I apologise if I'm not helping any. I thought for the newage the Simtek software dealt with the change......
