I've got an STi too and have only had it 5 days. My god, its a whole different beast compared to my old WRX Blob. I've found that the power is more progressive as opposed to it suddenly hitting you in the WRX. I've already put brand new tyres costing £420 and new rear brake pads cos they looked a little low.

I know I'll enjoy this car, but I'm gonna be sensible and not drive it everyday like my old one. It'll be more of a weekend / late shift work transporter.
