I would stick with the standard recirc valve mate, there is nothing wrong with them.

you carnt hear them mate, but recirc valves are supposed to be better for the engine, i had a baileys dump valve on my classic and it ran abit lumpy, as soon as i took it off the car ran fine, i havent even bothered to buy one for my new car.

+1

the only reason for the 'here we go again' comment is that there's a thread open at the moment that turned into a slanging match

its all personal preferance really, like i say i wouldnt have 1 because i had problems with mine, but if you like the sound then you will prob leave it on regardless of what anybody says.
If you dont want the standard one then buy i forged one.

I've got a forge recirc on my bugeye........makes a quiet "ching" sound when working and at least I know all the air that has been metered by the MAF ends up in the right place

horses for courses ad. If you want one, go for it. Ive got a HKS and im well pleased with it. Seems to improve lag and sounds alright - i.e. not too loud, exhaust noise just drowns everything out anyway

Best to look around reputable suppliers

http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...ef687010fc80e6

For example.

I bought mine a long time ago from a firm which was taken over by Amber Performance. (JW Racing).

I'm new to this forum too and already see this sort of thread come up often, is there an inbetween that keeps all happy? Not really knowing much about turbos I know my old VX220 Turbo shouldn't have one.

Can you get one that recirc's but makes a subtle noise i.e not attract anyone elses attention!

And should you potentially avoid a car for sale if it already has one on it, suspect possible engine stress from having it?

I guess I like the sound of them but don't want everyone turning round to the hiss as i'd feel a tw*t. I haven't got a car yet but my eyes are peeled, it'll be a blobeye STI.

With some older VF turbos is not recommended run without the DV(recirc or VTA) and if you want go for DV Forge is best bet.

I replaced the DV on mine when I got it with the Forge re-circ. With the DV it would drop revs before coming to a stop and would cut out occasionaly. Re-circ solved that it runs alot better with it.

Makes quite a good noise through the cone filter aswell alot quieter than my previous DV.. which i prefer

Got mine from ralph at Milsport
