initial: the dumpvalve is there to do a job, bot make a chavvy noise.

If you want your car to run right and not risk siuffering engine damage, keep the dumpvalve you have.

A new engine is £2000 plus

The sound in the fast and furious is the Greddy type-s. They don't make them anymore I believe but you might be lucky to find one on ebay, although for new age scoobs you need a mounting adapter to fit the TMIC. I'm sure other companies make a similar model out there, just need to track them down.

Again if its mapped with DV,he will not risk any damage to car, just prolong life of turbo and little bit help spool of turbo.
This is main concern of classic owners,DV and MAF.

Not sure this is good advice, it's CERTAINLY not what a respected mapper told me, and two respected tuners, but hey, what do THEY know?

I've heard a few scoobs in my area with a really high pitched whistle like BOV sound similar to those on fast and furious (though cars on F&F always seem to make a BOV sound when they pull up.) and they sound far cooler than the £300 BOV I run! I'd love to know the make for if mine ever died.

It's nothing to do with getting boring. It's to do with having some brains. The Scoob engines are designed to run with a recirc valve not a VTA. Some mappers tell you they can be mapped for a VTA, some say they can't. Doesn't really matter as 99% of people who buy a VTA just stick it on the car anyway and for what reason? So the car makes a whoosh sound. What a f**king retarded reason to chance f**king your engine up for!!!

To be honest the advice suggesting you keep your standard recirc valve on is helpful, to think it isn't is just you wanting to hear what you think is right.

And also, don't use text speak, makes you look a retard (Also against forum T&C's).
