thats just a right state, going down hill fast.
Are they cutting corners like the plastic intake system?
the estate looks like a mondeo estate crossed with a new accord estate - but is passable
The saloon, is just getting 'Kia' styling to me, do not like that at all.

Hideous like the current models and will be even more cheaply put together. Love the old 'the UK is not getting the 4 door' line again.... well not until sales of the 5 door are again so woeful Subaru need to try and con some of the old school Scooby owners into thinking the 4 door is a worthy successor to their proper cars of old.

oh dear, i think it looks like a dodge calibre...
I hope the hot versions will look better - perhaps it's a case of the design is with the uber model in mind and when the nice bits are removed to make the basic models it ends up looking like a pile-o-poo...

Subaru - Please just scrap the Impreza model name. Stop selling this eco box off the back of a very different car. Those days are over, lets keep the memories good.

Looks good, interiors are looking very tidy. All cars are going to look more similar because of aerodynamics and lots of legislation like crash safety, pedestrian safety etc. This has changed dramatically in the last 10 years or so,no getting away from it.
The plastic intakes are to save weight, and probably money. They have made the car lighter than the outgoing model.Think they need more of a engine range,be interesting to see a turbo (Sti) and a hybrid?
They have another variant called a XV(concept at the moment) which is like a off road version, but smaller than a Forester,it does look really neat, and hope they put it too production.
Hope to see these cars in the flesh, and check out the decent interior too.

Things have got to move with the times and Subaru have lost the plot on numerous occasions [blob being a great example and the MY08]. I think that the current model looks ok [well it does here in Aus, and I have an MY11 STi which has come a long way], but the build is just woeful. Subaru need to take a look at the interior and spend the doe on softer plastics not the hard stuff the use now. This model hasn't changed their way, looking it seems interior is full of hard plastic.
As for the styling I think that the saloon is gopping but the wagon as an STi would look pretty good.
Subaru need to listen to the masses and get back with the program.
Just my tuppence worth.

You are all missing the point, they are trying to keep up with the Vauxhall Insignia, etc...
"If you can't beat them, join them".
Not that I'm likely to buy one.

And with Mitsubisihi apparently calling it a day on the Evo doesn't bode well for the WRX/STi going forward. Though personally I think Mitsubishi will continue we'll just have to wait and see.

We can all see they are trying to break into the everyday car market with the focus and astra scene. The only problem I have is that they are *******ising the Impreza name since they wouldn't have much of a chance if they didn't.
Subaru just need to release a new model that caters for this division and leave the impreza name for better models. I guess the only way to go now is the Toyota FT-86. If only the new Impreza went down that route.
