Default got my car back after the rebuild yay :)

after two weeks of anticipation and a very kind bank i have the scoob back many thanks to andy at scooby spares who has rebuilt it all for me even though he has been very busy:

spec now is:

sti v7 short motor
high lift cam
forged pistons
vf28 turbo
new FMIC
straight through decatted
wallbro fuel pump
full service

got a few bits to be put on her but just in the running in period at the moment so 500 steady miles, already on 150 and only got it back on sunday,

next week its getting the gems and anti-lag fitted:

and hoping for 350bhp with 350lbt of torque but we'll see,

then just some saving up:

after saving up its getting brembos and a decent suspension setup, then stripped out and used for weekends and open pit lane day excited i am

cheers
alex

Nice build will be nice once you can use it properly. Will the VF28 flow enough air to make 350/350?

The vf28 can take 370maxxed out, so yeh it will be near max but should be able to handle it

I'd be interested to see you get those figures on that turbo.

I got 317BHP on my old car on powerstations rollers with a similar spec to you

Your going well to get 350 or more from a vf34 let alone a 28.
Nice build and spec though mate and you will be happy with the end result no doubt regardless of figures, always remember its how the ponies are delivered that make the driving experience not the NUMBER of them!!

Agreed. I think you should be expecting around 330bhp max.
Will still make a stupidly quick point to point motor.

Enjoy it!

Thats what I was thinking, my VF28 made 327/330 but that was on a MY99 T2000.

Would having the uprated cams fitted produce more or is that as much as the turbo will flow?
