Think its for all 4 and to me all you would be getting is hedge hoppers
Spend more on tyres than 65-70 quid per corner or suffer the consequences

Kumho Ecsta or Federal SS-595 are good budget tyres which don't cost too much..

Guys please!!!!!!!!!!!
TYRES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ON A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not try and save money on them by buying budget ones even more so on a high performance car...

Just buy a decent tyre. It may be extreme but if you cant afford ALL the running costs of a performance car (including decent tyres) then you may as well sell as if your scrimping on parts like this then what else are you going to do, put tesco value oil in . . . . .

I have a set of Pirelli Pzero Rosso in the same size on my Golf which I'm tempted to sell on. Done about 8000miles with about 4mm tread (guestimate).

I'd let them go if someone offered me £100 for the pair (plus postage). As I want to have Michelins to match whats on the rear. But to get a matching set would require another pair of Pirellis and the cheapest I've seen them is £130 EACH! So even with part worns he's still out of budget!

You say that but........ My tyres are £58 each for 17's. Done a Trackday and about 10k on them now and they are nowhere near the wear bars and never had any moments with them in the dry or wet. Much better then the Toyo T1's i had on before.

Nankang ......some tight tw@t had them fitted to one of my evo's....on the way home from southampton the tread had lifted and it sounded like all my wheel bearings were fooooked , wouldn't fit them to my daughters push bike

Hafolrds for a decent jack and wheel brace and go nick a set from the local car dealers

Its up to you mate ,but I would personally buy a decent set of part worn goodyear, pirelli, dunlop, michelin ,etc than a budget tyre. I have recently bought 2 x continental sport2 tyres for £100 (205/45/17)both with 7.5 mm on and that included fitting and balancing. Then again it also depends on your driving style ,13 months ago,for the 1st time in my life i bought some budget tyres(nankangs) for the back wheels (it may be coincidence),2 weeks later going round a slight bend in the road ,the passenger rear let go,ending with my 99uk turbo spinning in to a car & a wall.

For the past 6 years I have used kenda kaiser tyres, they may be cheap but they hold the road like s*it stuck to a blanket wet or dry! They are good on track too. Personally I believe that its not so much what tyres you fit but more how you intend to use them and your driving skills/ability.

I don't know you can still get some fairly good tyres for £90 a corner.

What those professional german tyre testers said about the Kenda tyres! (and they are probably the best testers out there due to their strict tyre laws!)

Strengths: quiet pass-by noise Weaknesses: dangerously long braking distances in wet conditions. lack Seitenfuhrung on wet and dry roads. spongy. discordant handling on dry roads

Think I will avoid them

Kumho Ecsta as stated.

Ive had these tyres on a few scoobies and trust me they are the best low budget tyres and i thought was better than t1 r -s i went the ring on them 17 laps didnt touch them also there was 80% tred left go for them buddy.

Falken 452

Had them for 6 months now , I don't drive my car like Sebastian Loeb or Petter Solberg in the WRC so £70 tyres or £170 wouldn't make any difference to me.

Ultrac's

Good-natured driving behavior on dry street, little Abrollgeräusch, good aquaplaning qualities. Strong load change reactions with moisture, average brake behavior.
Uniroyal rainsport 2

Strengths: the rain specialist under the sports tyre. Exemplary security reserves with aquaplaning, short braking distances on more wet as dry distance, very quiet Abrollgeräusch. Weaknesses: delayed Lenkansprechen and untersteuerndes driving behavior with sporty driving manner on dry runway.

Quick Reply: which tyre , budget 250-275
