Default 320R 2011

Ok as always scooby have done a better version, and feeling sad now that the new owners get 20BHP than me and sat nav, im sulking

ive emailed IM group and my Dealer to see if they can work their magic and give upgrades out, Im told only new and Pre cars can have this at the mo.

What annoys me is Subaru gave STI owners the 330R upgrade FOC last year so why not now

FFS its a 550 quid stereo and a engine fumble.

But for all you engine people why does this equate to 20 BHP more, ive seen this twice now mounting the engine lower for this specific model

Low mounted, Boxer Turbo engine producing 320PS (20PS more power than standard WRX STI)cheers Lovvvies

If you want the latest spec, buy the latest car.
Otherwise spending a little on a remap with a better exhaust will see you passing 320 with ease.
The first option is expensive, the second considerably less...

You dont get if you dont ask, But i just wondered why they lowered the engine ???

My target is 450 already got my price in, and the selected skilled man, just gotta save up and hide the money :P

Get it down to EngineTuner for a piston swap and new turbo and remap and you'll see 450bhp with ease

New engine version? It was due out (the 2.5) early this year, dunno if it's fitted to the new cars yet?

If you was going to mod why did you go for a NEW uk 2.5? surely you would of been better of buying a used one or even a JDM hatch and gone for the Lm400.

hi Juggers

The situation i was in with my WRX-S was one of i had to find a dealer that would offer me a good price against a new one.

I wouldnt have got that there or on an Import, also with me doing lots of miles i liked the new one as it fit my needs better. My old Wrx-s was a good car but a bit bland.

My idea was to make what i have which is perfect for my London trips faster to the point i dont get diminished returns on fuel unless i choose to nail it.

After speaking to Alan i have various options to give her some Love get to 400 450 and still keep the fuel ok, but also keep the internals business like for work

But yeah your right if i was a heavy Modder then your idea would be the right route

as my m8s is hes just got an Evo 8 and spent 60k making it into a track car, it now runs 790 BHP and has 1 seat LOL

now thats fast in fact its stupid
