Then your next questions are:-
Are the handbook and servicebook in english.
Does the numberplate have the suppling dealer on there.
Any stickers in the rear window?
Factory alarm a sigma?
There is virtually no difference between a parallel import and a UK car except the alarm system as the eu car wont have one as standard and not many people fitted sigma's, plus the documentation (handbook etc) will normally be in dutch/flemish, otherwise no mechanical differences, but have a look at the boot too, it probably wont have the turbo awd 2000 sticker on there as only UK sourced cars had those
If the car is in good condition with good service history then yes, check the rear arches for rust and around the front and rear screens (and under the top of the rubber seals), maf sensors can be fragile and its worth changing these (later ones have a little green line on them, wouldnt want to really run an original one at 11 years old )
