wonder how much the bombs being dropped on libya cost!

a cut in fuel duty of 10p would have been a bonus as 1p is just a joke woope i now save 50p a tank.

Fuel is the governments biggest money maker as they get roughly 65p per litre in tax.
if only they lived on a working class wage

Precisely, during Iraq I read that it was around £1,000,000 a hit taking in to account the cost of the plane, pilot, fuel and bombs.

Cutting fuel duty by just 1 penny is a joke. They obviously have no regard for the working class. Steve.

a load of ****......1p a litre waste of time for the motorist, the oil companies will increase the prices at the pump to claw back the extra tax that the government has just hit them with

pointless exercise, everybody will just fuel up before and after the 1st/2nd and the garages dont take a hit.

all the damage has been done........we have a government who take take take and a public to gutless to stand up to them...........things would soon sort themselves out if we reacted like the middle east has.......

At the height of the Iraq/afghan conflicts it was costing the U.S $10'000'000'000 every month.............uk would defo be a couple of billion a month also at the time

Means we'll probably be worse off, the fuel companies are being taxed harder to counter the 1p 'drop' we get. Therefore the fuel company will put their prices to us up to counter their tax hike.

I daresay its probably very popular but in the end doesnt make the slightest difference if you still use the scoob on the 1st and 2nd because you still need to replace the fuel u have used at some point.

Either way some sort of action is better then nothing. You never know it might work!
