Hi m8,
i had a CCM SM 600cc a few years ago and they are good fun ( this was only a single cylinder and was a real hand full). I was going to get a Suzuki DR-Z 400SM which are a good SuperMoto and some of my m8's has them but the handle bars were too wide for my side passage ( i was going to put back passage lol ) so i couldnt get it.
Also had 2 x CBR600 FS2 and also a RVF400.
I would go for the Supermoto due to the poor roads ie pot holes etc and you also have the option of greenlanning.
The CRF Looks nice too m8, cant go wrong with Honda!

Supermoto mate
Showing my age now, but when i was young and living in Spain, had a Bultaco Pursang and a Montessa Capra. What, i hear you say??
Google them, but they were both road legal, and great fun on and off road.

Raced supermoto with southern supermoto '07-'08 and raced in the British Championship in '09 till a near fatal accident finished me off.
Getting back to the OP's question, supermoto's are the best fun, corner quicker than a sportsbike and wheelie all day long. My last road bike was an R1, I enjoyed my KTM more!

Would have to be a Supersport for me I'm afraid. Never been in to the Super Moto thing. Depends on what your going to be doing with it really. If it's just for some back road blasts then yes Super Moto all the way. I like to go a bit further afield especially as were blessed with such great roads up here. Almost cried when I let my K3 Gixer 1000 go last year but hoping to get something similar soon (money coming from house sale/ divorce settlement ) Quite fancy an 04/05 Blade next but will have to have a test ride first
