Nice motors Scott - the three-door is identical to my old one I think I may even have used that car park (is it Castleham?)
Forgotten how garish those Fiesta Supersports were

I remember them all well, The undeside of the supersport that was cleaner than the top side of most cars I've owned, going round Donnington in the RS1600i for a "parade" lap, sitting in traffic just outside Uxbrige in the RS Turbo with window down and the heater on full blast trying to cooll it down (hence the bonnet vents in the series 2) and the nightmare stories you've told me about the cosworth.

Love the Escort RS Turbo S1, My old dear used to have one when I was a kid, Seemed really fast back in the days. Still remember the plate C69JHR. She traded it in for a caviler in the end when it started costing money

Lovely cars All of them classics. A mate of mine at college had a lovely back supersport like the one in the top picture. That was a great looking car and it used to go well. Sadly some gits nicked it though and stripped it It was a right mess when it was found and got written off
That 3 door is my favourite colour I've got photos of my old fords somewhere, I still own 2

Brings back great memories. I used to have a MK1 RS2000, in yellow with the orange stripes!. Actually drove one again a while ago and couldn't beleive how slow it felt, bearing in mind at the time I thought it was the fastest thing on the road!. Fast Fords - still cool tho

love old fords still meself, were generally a ford man before the scooby (bk in the day had fiesta xr2,xr3i and a series2 escort rst)would have changed things completely if the series 2 hadnt have cost me a fortune an i`d have more than likely been driving a 3door cossie instead of a scooby now-just the bad experience put me off performance fords(so much so i bought an audi 80 sport after the series2-i craved reliability after the expense )
a few mates have still got some cool fords though luckily-

I always wanted the 3-door and finally got the one pictured above. Engine rebuild then cost me a fortune and even then I'm sure I could of done it better myself.
I had so many niggling problems with it that I just wanted shot of it. So much so I sold it back to the dealer I bought it from at a £4K loss.
With a £3K engine rebuild it owed me £7K, but I was still glad to see the back of it.
Besides 4-doors were then required as family came along...got my 1st Scoob, now on my 3rd.

Remember when i had my series 2 a mate had a 16i and remember problems with the twin coil set up rather than std distributor sorta put me off em escorts had their fair share of probs without more electrical issues on non turbo cars, for instance the metering units on series1`s and 2`s.Dont stop me loving them still though.

The old Escort looks MINT. My first Ford was a 1.4S all i wanted was a rev counter, i thought it was awesome. My last ford was a RS1800, lovely motor and pretty rare.

I can't remember how many flywheel pick-up sensors it had. That was a real bodge by Ford, but then it was one of the 1st cars to use non-distributor flywheel pickup ignition.
Another bodge on the RS1600i was the brake servo linkage. A complete Heath Robinson affair of a linkage to convert from left to right hand drive.
One of the best handling cars on the road though, especially with the option rear ARB
