Have you pulled the hoses off the nozzle (jets) under the bonnet to see if it comes out freely?

Sounds like the problem might be a little deeper, maybe something fouling the pump inlet starving it of water, hence the gradual build of pressure. It's possible that some vanes on the pump impeller could have been weakened if the pump tried to turn against partially frozen water, or maybe the pump has failed for some other reason. Your best bet would be to locate the pump and establish the flow and pressure of its output to find a definitive answer to the problem.

I don't know which car you have, so in light of the other washers working the above thoughts might be superfluous, but at least if you know the output from the pump is good, you can follow the pipes to the source of the problem.

regards

Tim

If it helps I had this problem with my own car. After a lot of head scratching it eventually turned out to the rubber hose was getting pinched by the strut brace whenever I closed the bonnet

After I fiddled with it and added another clip the problem was solved.

Something else to consider maybe

I had this problem while back on a different car, water trickled out of the jets but if you pulled the pipes off at the jets the water came out freely flowing....i investigated it and finally traced the problem to the washer bottle!!

The bottle was full of gunk, and i mean full!! There was gunksslime like substance around the pump and all through the bottle

So i took the bottle and pump out, cleared out the bottle (wich was a nightmare of a job btw) renewed the pump and blew out the pipes to the jets with an airline.

Apparently mixing screenwash types can sometimes cause this reaction in the washer bottle and if thr two types dont mix well they clog up the bottle and cause this gunge to form

So now i just use the one type of screenwash, and one year later my wipe wash is working fine
