Default strut brace improves?

Hi, the scooby classic i recently brought came with a strut brace fitted, looks its made out of aluminium i think, could be wrong though. I dont use car for track days just for fun at weekends, do you think i benefit at all by having it fitted? just i like it totally original and if it doesnt improve the ride il get rid of it

cheers

I've heard it can improve corning quite drastically as it stiffens the chassis and keeps the tyres more level with the ground giving more grip etc.

To ad to this post, is there a certain brand that you need to buy or is there only one type of strut to by for the newage Wrx Sti?

Strut brace will have minimal effect on the way car handles by itself. There are far better ways you can stiffen the shell which will have a more pronounced effect on the cars handling.

I can't say i noticed any difference after fitting one to my blob wrx. Maybe turn in is a bit tighter but its probably psychological more than anything.
