Smile RaceDynamix Strikes again!

Another thumbs up for Duncan.
Mapped my SpecD on the road this afternoon (Estimated 350hp), very interesting with afternoon traffic!
Just been out on some empty roads and given it a proper testing, wow what a differance, great power delivery and acceleration. Flat shifting thats different! Launch control just hilarious (Yes Duncan can still smell clutch!!)
Me and the Mrs still laughing (Should know better at our age)
Think its time for some better brakes.
Thanks again Duncan money well spent.
Nij

I knew you'd try the launch control

My pleasure Nij - it goes really nicely IMO

Did you get a chance to log the NPS on the wagon ?

RaceRom I presume? :-)

Just out of curiosity: how does flat shifting work? Does the ECU hold the revs at the point where you depress the clutch (guessing that it won't let the revs ping off the limiter) and is it on all the time, or just when you apply WOT?

Forgive the ignorance!

Hi Duncan well I replaced the washer on the NPS for a thinner one and most of the time it pulls very well low down and also through the range so I think if I replace it with a new NPS it will be fine

AFAIK anti lag cannot be put on a standard ECU, and launch control can be put on Bugeye onwards, though mine's an Sti if it makes a difference. Duncans mapped mine and the man is a star. Strange how he can modify the mapping to make you giggle like a schoolgirl
I'll never get sick of the launch control or the pops and bangs

Nope not racerom - the open source community has had this functionality (amongst others) for a couple of years. Nice to see ecutek starting to catch up

Flat shifting works as you describe - applies an interim rev limit between gear changes based on the clutch switch input to ecu. Holds a good amount of boost between gears.

It doesnt impact on normal driving.
