how much BHP from a filter and decat..

Pointless "ebay gem" banger threads...

and anything posted by PSLewis

It really is taking the pish ain't it? People think you're spoofing when you tell them how much it is to convert a classic Subaru to big power. I just don't both anymore. Having said that I wonder if I will make 800hp this year

Flamer kit fitted to the biggest bore exhaust you can find
Neons
Slammed
inducshun Kit
Any ecu off of ebay
Bigger airscoop
red heatproof paint to spray the inlet manifolds

the above should have you up around 800bhp

As for budget, just steal it from other owners or buy off of fleabay and say it never turned up

Yes, just as long as you do not put pads in the callipers they should push far enough in

Its the ad's on Pistonheads, Ebay etc that do me in,,,,

The ones which read ' 400bhp, vf22 super hybrid special turbo, KandN filter,'etc etc etc.

Would love to take some of these dicks down to a dyno for a day.

What about the miles per gallon questions? LOLOL
I know, lets buy a sports car and worry about the mpg!
Never mind the insurance and costs on turning it into a chav chariot!

cheap budget, high power, reliability.

You can only ever have 2 of the 3 above!

Huge Spec Subaru Rips a Veyron
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FPOYlvwFis

But in all fairness to the OP, I would say budget the average price of a house in London for a 800bhp Subaru, or a full street of house in Croydon

Did Andy F not build a high power car on a cheap budget and a very short timescale recently? ( towards the end of last year maybe )

Wouldn't one of these electric turbochargers take you up to the 750-800bhp mark? Well maybe alongside some appropriate supporting mods like LED running lights and extra large sunstrip..

Don't take my word for it, look at the feedback on the ad:

"AWSUM item, adds heaps of power, any one a car or bike should buy:-) A++++"

The cheapest way would be to make a dyno graph of 800hp on photoshop.

''I've sold my Impreza as it's a chavs car, couldn't cope with the image''

Nothing to do with the running costs, and that the Mrs wants a BMW to keep up with the Jones' of course
