Default Good Scooby Servicing around Ruislip / Is this a rip off?

Hi there Scooby fans,

My 2002 WRX Bug Eye is up for its annual service. I have for the last couple of years had it serviced at Power Engineering in Uxbridge (remote North West London), but they want £410 plus 20% VAT to do a 90K service (which is equivalent to the 30K).

Is this a rip off? It seems overly expensive to me. Every year I seem not to escape from them without a similar bill. However, in these times and on a 9 year old car this is too much.

Does anyone know anyone else round here I could use?

Cheers,
Nick.

I'm in Manchester so can't really help as i'm too far away, although my 30k service on a Spec D was about £340 + VAT, by a Subaru specialist.

FB will be worth travelling for Nick- I used power engineering in the past and found them really dear even for the basic stuff.

FB is a Subaru specialist with a wealth of knowledge, you'll be looked after and at a reasonable price too.

Yes I gave him a call, nice guy, very helpful.

Much more competitive than the Power Engineering guys.

Booked in my car for its service. If all goes well I will get them to do my suspension upgrade

That sounds ridiculous. I have just had a 3 year service and it came to £97 from a Subaru specialist who did more than was required as well.

*edit: sorry for being dozy. My 4th year came to £97, my 3rd year was £305 from the main dealers. It would have been around £190 from the specialist.
